About

Born in Korea in 1990, Jun Hee Kim began playing the piano at the age of five. He studied at the Music School of Yewon, South Korea, and at the Korean University of Arts. He won the Ihwa music competition and participated in the Kumho Foundation’s recitals.

He received several international prizes and awards, including the Korea Times Piano Competition, the Chopin competition for young artists, the international Ettlingen competition (Germany) and the Korean Society of Music’s competition. Furthermore, he won the Long Thibaud competition in 2007.

Throughout his carreer, he has performed as soloist with the Seoul Philharmonic orchestra, and gave recitals in Europe, in the US and in Asia. 2011/2012 season included his debut in Paris with the double bass player Minje Sung (performance webcast live on medici.tv).
