Les Flâneries Musicales de Reims

Launched in 1990, Les Flâneries Musicales d'été de Reims are managed by the Flâneries Musicales de Reims association, which was founded to promote music in the city of Reims and surrounding areas.

Every year for over twenty years, young musicians and artists of international fame have joined forces in the city of the Champagne-Ardenne region. Every summer, they perform over fifty concerts in such various and beautiful locations as the Basilique Saint-Remi, the house of the Counts of Champagne, the cathedral, the opera, the Palace of Tau...

The Flâneries Musicales de Reims festival is presided over by Jean-Louis Henry. In 2012, the pianist Jean-Philippe Collard was appointed artistic director of the festival. That very same year, the Flâneries Musicales de Reims inaugurated a brand new concert series named "Debuts" and dedicated to the young talents of classical music. Thus, in 2012, the young cellist Edgar Moreau performed on the Reims Conservatoire's stage and a few months later, he was awarded "Young instrumentist of the year" at the French Victoires de la musique!

United to support the most promising talents of classical music, Les Flâneries Musicales de Reims and medici.tv have managed to broadcast, since 2012, the concerts scheduled in the brand new "Debuts" series...
