At the Arena di Verona, the legendary Franco Zeffirelli presents a sensational production of Puccini’s Turandot, conducted by Marco Armiliato and performed by a stellar cast including Anna Netrebko in the title role!

Set to an Italian libretto by Giuseppe Adami and Renato Simoni—and posthumously completed by Franco Alfano—this three-act opera unfolds amid the grandiose backdrop of medieval Beijing. The curtain rises upon the beautiful yet cold-hearted Princess Turandot, who sets a challenge to the noblemen of the country: she will marry the one who can successfully solve the three riddles she devises. If they fail, they must pay with their lives. An Unknown Prince (Calaf) arrives at the scene, and attempts the riddle ceremony against the advice of his father and his guide, Liú—with tenor Yusif Eyvazov providing a powerful performance of the beloved Nessun dorma in the role of Calaf. Having instantly fallen in love with the princess, performed by star soprano Netrebko, the prince succeeds and sets her a challenge of his own…
