Trombonist and founding member of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra Mark Hampson works with student Alejandro García in an illuminating masterclass on Ferdinand David's Trombone Concertino in E-flat Major, Op.4.  Dedicated to trombonist and friend of the composer Karl Traugott Queisser, the work received its extremely successful premiere in 1837 with the dedicatee as soloist, the composer as concertmaster, and their friend Mendelssohn as conductor of Leipzig’s Gewandhaus orchestra.
