О программе

The Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse is on tour and now makes a stop in Buenos Aires! A 100% French programme for the orchestra and its music director Tugan Sokhiev, who invited the young pianist Bertrand Chamayou to perform the Ravel Concerto in G.

After a stop in Paris for a concert broadcast live from the Salle Pleyel (with Jean-Yves Thibaudet, now available on delayed streaming here), the Toulousian orchestra performs in the mythical Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, under the baton of its music director Tugan Sokhiev! Like in Paris, the concert opens with the Prelude to the afternoon of a faun by Debussy, and closes with the Berlioz Symphonie fantastique, two emblematic works of the French symphonic repertoire.

Bertrand Chamayou, who was recently awarded a Victoire de la musique classique (a high level French distinction) for his album dedicated to the Liszt Years of Pilgrimage, joins the orchestra and performs the Ravel Concerto in G. A Toulousian born artist, Bertrand Chamayou has played with the orchestra several times yet.
