О программе

Music against oblivion.

After her visit to Terezin, the pianist Nathalia Romanenko planned to foster the music by the Czech composers, like Ullmann, Hass, Klein or Krasa, who had been imprisoned in the city between 1942 and 1944. Under the baton of Joseph Swensen, she interprets the Piano concerto by Ullmann, deported to Terezin in 1942 and killed in Auschwitz two years later.

The Piano concerto was written before Ullmann's deportation, in 1939. Rediscovered in 1992, it is now played for the first time in Toulouse, France.
