Дирижирует Густаво Дудамель: Орбон и Малер – Симфония №5

The Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar de Venezuela is a son of José Antonio Abreu's fantastic program El Sistema, whose most famous pupil used to be Gustavo Dudamel himself, now a superstar conductor, who is the happy musical director of the prestigious Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.

Gustavo Dudamel, "the most charismatic conductor since Leonard Bernstein" (according to the Salzburg Festival's music director Markus Hinterhäuser), is one of the most influent characters on the musical scene. It is completely logical then that the Philharmonie de Paris, who is meant to become one of the major concert halls in the symphonic field, invited Gustavo Dudamel and the Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar de Venezuela within the first month following its opening.

Gustavo Dudamel will conduct works by two composers who are quite different, but to whom he is attached to: Julián Orbón (a Spanish-Cuban composer from the 20th century), and Gustav Mahler, whose gigantic Fifth Symphony will be performed as the second part of the programme.

This event will take place in the Philharmonie de Paris, a long-time awaited new concert hall in the French capital, inaugurated on January 14, 2015. Designed by Jean Nouvel, the building hosts a great hall of 2,400 seats. The shape of this hall is a true innovation, that combines the acoustic qualities of the greatest European concert halls.
