The Kremerata Baltica

О программе

In a concert filled with different musical genres, Gidon Kremer performs Sempre Primavera with the ensemble Kremerata Baltica. They play Mahler's Symphony No. 10, Shostakovich's Sonata for Violin and Piano in G major, Piazzolla's surprising Fuga y misterio, the Dolce Vita music by Rota and "Sempre Primavera", Kremer's own musical compilation-composition.

Gidon Kremer has always been one of the most headstrong and original artists in the music business. He was also once hailed by Herbert von Karajan as the world’s best violinist. Although he celebrated his 60th birthday in 2007, his talents for spontaneity and risk-taking remain as strong as they ever were. Over the past 25 years of his career, Kremer regularly sought to create fresh interpretations of traditional musical repertoire, and in this spirit his ensemble Kremerata Baltica, founded by assembling a group of young musicians from the Baltic states.
