Christian Zacharias is back at the Verbier Festival, surrounded by the best soloists in a monumental programme!

Under the baton of Chrisitan Zacharias, the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra performs a challenging and unexpected programme gathering within one concert Bach's Violin and oboe concerto in C Minor, Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20, and Schubert's Mass No. 6!

For this exceptional programme, the Verbier Festival invites the violinist Lisa Batiashvili, the oboist François Leleux, the pianist Jan Lisiecki and the singers Lisa Milne, Lilli Paasikivi, Pavol Breslik, Jörg Dürmüller and Matthew Rose. This concert is the third appearance of the Collegiate Chorale at the 2013 edition of the Verbier Festival.

For the record, it is the first time that the 18 year-old pianist Jan Lisiecki performs at the Salle des Combins! Praised for his recitals in 2011 and 2012 at the Verbier Church – broadcast live on medici.tv – he is now playing one of Mozart's best-known piano concerti in front of the Verbier Festival's greatest audience.
