Launched in July 2013, the Verbier Festival Music Camp is an international orchestral training programme for 15 to 17 year olds set in the heart of the Swiss Alps, and led by British star-conductor Daniel Harding. The members of this brand new youth orchestra rehearse and perform alongside talented young instrumentalists from all over the world.
The Verbier Festival Music Camp, alongside the prestigious Verbier Festival Academy (created in 1994), the Verbier Festival Orchestra (created in 2000), and the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra (created in 2004), has set standards of excellence, creativity and innovation in music education worldwide. With this new talent development programme, the Verbier Festival reaffirms its commitment to the next generation, offering even younger musicians a first-rate stepping stone towards a successful music career.
The first concert of the Verbier Festival Music Camp will take place on July 23rd 2014 at the Salle des Combins
