An interview with Daniel Harding, music director of the Verbier Festival Music Camp Orchestra, Câline Yamakawa, and the young musicians of the 2 year-old Music Camp.
"The Verbier Festival Music Camp is a three to four-week project that takes place in the unbelievable setting of the Swiss Alps," says Câline Yamakawa, Music Camp Manager. "Being able to perform and to be streamed live on medici.tv is an amazing opportunity, a window to show the world what they have been doing all this time. I wish we could take medici into our school every day to see how it progresses from. 56 kids not knowing each other, speaking different languages to what I hope will be an amazing concert. In a way, this is the future of what you are going to hear next."
"It is really nice that we can present our concert on medici.tv because now so many people know about us. And I think 'why not?'. I think we play good!," says 17 year-old violinist Sofia Sakharova, who joined the Music Camp this summer.Daniel Harding is amazing. He is really inspiring
