Perren-Luc Thiessen

Biographie

Perren-Luc Thiessen is a 15-year-old pianist from McKinney Texas. He has been studying piano since the age of eight, his teachers are Dr. Tamas Ungar and Dr. Mary Humm. Perren-Luc made his orchestral debut at the age of 12, performing the Schumann Piano Concerto at the Todi Music Masters Festival in Italy. In August of 2017, Perren was invited to participate in the Paderewski Piano Academy in Bydgoszcz, where he performed with the Academy Symphony Orchestra and received daily lessons from renowned professors Balazs Szokolay and Berndt Goetzke. In 2017, at the age of 14, Perren-Luc was the youngest participant to be selected to participate as a Young Artist in the elite Piano Texas Festival in Fort Worth. Perren-Luc has been a top prize-winner in numerous local, state, national and international events. Recently, he won the First Prize at the prestigious 2017 Young Pianist of the North Piano Competition in Newcastle, England.
