Sobre el programa...
Offenbach's La Vie Parisienne takes to the stage at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, under the direction of fashion great Christian Lacroix! Reminiscent of the ambiance of the legendary Moulin Rouge and its scandalous French cancan, this extravagant parade of sumptuous costumes and colorful characters brings together an exceptional cast—including soprano Jodie Devos, remarkable in the role of Gabrielle, and the fabulous tenors Rodolphe Briand and Marc Mauillon as Gardefeu and Bobinet.
This opéra-bouffe in five acts, based on the original 1866 version, follows the whimsical adventures of Gardefeu and Bobinet, two epicurean friends in Second Empire Paris. Between lavish parties, cunning disguises, and cascading misunderstandings, the plot dives into the frivolity and charm of the French capital of the time. With great humor and a succession of lively, joyful melodies, Offenbach captures the grotesque allure of this disguised insouciance. In this shimmering world, there is only one rule: to transform entertainment into a new reality!
