Sobre el programa...
The Contemporary-Conducting Program at the Lucerne Festival has become, since its founding in 2016, a veritable institution. For three weeks each year, young conductors have the chance to practice and refine their art alongside the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra, receiving priceless feedback from program director Baldur Brönniman as well as many other big-name figures of the contemporary scene. In this session from September 2025, American conductor Molly Turner (conducting fellow with the New World Symphony and Dudamel Fellow with the LA Philharmonic), German conductor Leonard David Wacker (guest conductor of Orquesta Sinfónica de Navarra, assistant conductor of Staatskapelle Dresden), German conductor Jasper Lecon (guest conductor of the BBC Philharmonic and the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken-Kaiserslautern), and Spanish conductor Julia Cruz Carcellar (Taki-Alsop conducting fellow and guest conductor of Orquesta Filarmónica de la Ciudad de México) hone their craft under the guidance of the acclaimed Elena Schwarz—an invaluable and formative opportunity for these four promising talents to gain precious real-world experience alongside an established legend in their field.
