A choreographic dance style based on hip hop, break dance and street dance meets a musical style with multiple influences: present-day music and contemporary jazz. Lady Rocks and La compagnie aime l'air (and its MegaOctet) mix composition and improvisation to create a sponteneous performance that's unique every time it's performed. Andy Emler's MegaOctet is made up of nine internationally-renowned soloists lauded for their instrumental virtuosity and orchestral flair (not to mention, they are all composers, too). An ensemble of five female dancers and five male dancers from the Lady Rocks company selected for their unique artistic personality and versatility will form a collective of 19 artists including the orchestra, plus a sound engineer and lighting designer.
