Émile Parisien in Paris

To bring the 2018 Paris Jazz Festival to a spectacular close, saxophonist Emile Parisien was invited to produce a Carte Blanche program on the Parc Floral stage. He assembled an all-star lineup of fifteen musicians who have played an important role in his career, bringing them together for the grand finale!

On the program: a wide range of themes played by several instruments and punctuated by solos, a duet with Parisien’s great friend Vincent Peirani on Temptation Rag, one of the tracks from their album Bell Epoque, and vocals by singer Leila Martial. Voices and instruments blend and unite in daring improvisations throughout the concert. The audience is won over: after a long ovation, followed by an encore with the entire All Star Ensemble, the show ends with a euphoric standing ovation.
