A student of Chucho Valdés's sister and later of the Paris Conservatoire, Ana Carla Maza is an accomplished composer who gracefully blends the dance rhythms of Latin America with bowing techniques more representative of the European classical repertoire. Her unique, assertive style celebrates the warm melodies of her childhood, and pays a sublime tribute to her Chilean and Cuban roots. In a musical journey through the Andes, the sincere enthusiasm and boundless energy of the young singer and cellist are shared on stage by Reunionese drummer Arnaud Dolmen and German pianist Norman Peplow, in a deeply inspiring—and slightly hair-raising—show!
