Airelle Besson Quartet plays "Try!"

French trumpet player Airelle Besson, winner of the Victoires du jazz and the Django-Reinhardt Prize from the Académie du jazz, brings her famous quartet center stage at the Cité musicale in Metz, where she is an associate artist. With singer Isabel Sörling, Benjamin Moussay on piano, and Fabrice Moreau on drums, the ensemble will be electrifying the Lorraine stage with works from their Try! album. Composed in their entirety by our bandleader, these charts were devised as jazz standards with well-defined harmony and melodies, but they nevertheless leave their performers a great deal of freedom to improvise.
