Sobre el programa...

Kristjan Järvi speaks to medici.tv before his concert at the Verbier Festival 2014.

During the summer of 2014, Kristjan Järvi was invited by the Verbier Festival to lead the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra in a Milhaud-Mahler-Strauss program.

medici.tv, who knows Kristjan Järvi well for having streamed several concerts with him, met him just before his concert in Verbier and asked him to share his thoughts about mentorship and about the power of music in society. Kristjan Järvi also gives aspiring conductors, musicians and composers an advice: "Get involved!"

Kristjan Järvi, son of Neeme Järvi and Paavo Järvi's brother, has been music director of the MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra since the 2012-2013 season. He is also conductor of the Gstaad Festival Orchestra, the founder of the New York City Absolute Ensemble, the founding conductor of the Baltic Youth Philharmonic (BYP), etc. He is a regular guest of the greatest orchestras, and has a predilection for the post-romantic, modern and contemporary repertoires, for which he is at the pinnacle of his talent.
