This amazing documentary is about a form of performing arts in Cambodia – Khmer classical dance.

"The Royal Ballet is the heirloom of a tradition that is more than thousand years old. Intricately tied to the royal court, the ballet suffered all the upheavals of the Cambodian history and on several occasions, nearly disappeared. But each time, it somehow ended up reappearing from its own ashes. Firstly because the kings, who though were obliged to flee from the capital, never abandoned their dancers and also because, the ballet always found young girls who wanted to become dancers to serve their king."
