In a land facing interminable conflict, young Palestinians have their lives transformed by learning classical music thanks to the Geneva-based foundation “Les instruments de la paix” (Instruments of Peace). Nassim, Tala and their classmates learn all about Mozart, Vivaldi or Bach with great enthusiasm.
This moving documentary takes us to the four corners of Palestine to follow the young musicians in their activities and hear what they have to say.
Through the “Instruments de la paix – Geneva” Foundation, of which Metin Arditi is the cofounder, and with the support of the Conservatoire de musique de Genève, the entire Palestinian national conservatory network enjoys the benefits of better conditions for teaching music. This project brings together young and old, Jews and Muslims, for music, making no distinction between religion and origin.
