Sobre el programa...

We all recall the strange experiment Joshua Bell subjected himself to on January 12th, 2007, for the Washington Post: For forty-five minutes, he played in a public place, during the rush hour, and in the end only collected 32 dollars in his hat. No one had paid him any attention. Yet, a Joshua Bell concert is a landmark event. Especially when he performs on his Stradivarius from 1713, the Violin concerto in E Minor by Mendelssohn, for which he has composed his own cadenza. In a recent interview he said, "I believe I am the only person to play a different cadenza to Mendelssohn's... We are a little too obsessed by the authentic interpretation.
