Gábor Takács-Nagy conducts Mozart – With Emöke Baráth, Ann Hallenberg, Bernard Richter and Stephan Genz

The first one of Mozart's 41 symphonies was composed in 1764 when he was just 8-years old. Already showing prodigious abilities, the young Mozart was generating excitement in the music establishment from an early childhood.

Almost 25 years later, he wrote his final symphony, the Symphony No. 41, nicknamed "Jupiter". Composer Richard Strauss described the symphony as "the most lovely composition [he has] ever heard". Mozart’s Mass in C Minor closes the concert. Considered as one of his major sacred works, it remained unfinished. Mozart wrote it while he was in Vienna and about to get married to Constanze Weber.
