Denis Matsuev plays Tchaikovsky, Schumann and Stravinsky

Live on medici.tv, the great Russian icon of the piano, Denis Matsuev, returns to the 2015 Verbier Festival in a program of works by Tchaikovsky, Schumann and Stravinsky.

2015 marks the 175th anniversary of the birth of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. For this event, the Russian pianist Denis Matsuev performs the complete Seasons, one of the most popular works of the classical music repertoire in Russia. The programme of this recital also features: Kreisleriana by Schumann and Three Movements from Petrushka by Stravinsky. These works will be exemplified by the stunning qualities of the winner of the 1998 Tchaikovsky Competition.
