Sobre el programa...
The unparalleled Laurence Equilbey leads a cast of remarkable soloists, alongside her own Insula Orchestra and Accentus choir, in a dazzling performance of Mozart’s Requiem in the setting of La Seine Musicale. Shrouded in mystery, the Requiem remained incomplete at Mozart’s death in 1791 and was later finished by his pupil, Franz Xaver Süssmayr. From the stately Introitus to the turbulent Dies Irae and heart-rendering Lacrimosa, Mozart’s Requiem captures the full spectrum of human emotion: fear, despair, hope, joy. Soprano Hélène Carpentier, alto Eva Zaïcik, tenor Eric Ferring, and bass Christian Immler beautifully express the raw and honest truth of these emotions. Blending liturgical text with operatic drama, Mozart’s final masterpiece is both a personal farewell and a profound meditation on humanity—a striking duality that Louise Narboni’s direction and Yoann Bourgeois’s choreography brings to life on stage.
