Kent Nagano conducts Samy Moussa's Symphony No. 1 "Concordia"

A new symphony by Samy Moussa, conducted by Kent Nagano and staged by Moment Factory! Join them for an immersive and dreamlike journey celebrating the 375th anniversary of Montreal's founding .

Inspired by the internationally-acclaimed young Canadian composer Samy Moussa's Symphony No. 1 "Concordia", Moment Factory creates a one-of-a-kind sensory experience within the walls of Montreal's Maison symphonique.

The concert is preceded by two short videos introducing the collaboration between Samy Moussa and Moment Factory. Moussa explains his contribution, describing his composition as, "a symphony composed for Montreal and, above all, for the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal." Moment Factory's tableaux—a series of scenes evoking Montreal's history—combine with Moussa's music to create a truly unique tribute to their beloved city.
