Sobre el programa...

Join us once again in La Ville Rose (the Pink City, so-called for its distinctive brick buildings) to see the exceptional Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse in action—joined by Japanese conductor Kazuki Yamada and French harpsichordist Jean Rondeau! On the program: works by Akira Miyoshi, Francis Poulenc, and Claude Debussy.

We couldn't have chosen a better group of artists to interpret this program than the ONCT, an illustrious ensemble committed to spreading classical music to broader audiences, and renowned maestro Yamada, a devotee of both French music and of the oeuvre of Akira Miyoshi, whose Concerto for Orchestra opens the evening's festivities. This strikingly modern piece, strongly influenced by the music of Dutilleux, finds a beautiful harmony with the rest of the program: Poulenc's Concert champêtre (Pastoral Concert), which gives pride of place to the multi-award-winning Rondeau at the harpsichord, and two Debussy masterpieces, including the endlessly evocative La Mer.

This is just one of over a thousand thrilling concerts available on medici.tv, the web's leading classical music streaming platform!
