Sobre el programa...

In its first concert of the year, the Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra is under the direction of one of the most promising conductors of his generation, Joshua Weilerstein, joined by the young cello prodigy Edgar Moreau!

The new Music Director of the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne leads the Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra musicians—aged 15 to 18—in a program of Fauré, Bruch, and Dvořák. For Fauré's majestic Élégie, they are joined by the young and talented Edgar Moreau. A rarely-performed work, Bruch's Kol Nidrei, follows. Finally, the evening closes with Dvořák's magnificent Symphony No. 6 in D Major.
