NEW: Joseph and Anthony Paratore play Brahms
Sobre el programa...
Revisit a magnificent 1989 recital by the Paratore brothers, Anthony and Joseph, who were born to perform together! On the program are two works by Johannes Brahms: the Variations on a Theme by Haydn, Op. 56, and the Op. 34 Sonata in F Minor, which Schumann called a "symphony in disguise."
Joseph and Anthony Paratore have a rapport that many duos could only dream of: they have spoken about their shared vision of different works, and love to refine their interpretations together down to the most minute details. Together they bring out all the dynamics and richness of these Brahmsian works, symphonic in scope with just two instruments—a performance that deserves (at least) four thumbs up!
