Sobre el programa...
The first concert of the Hélène Grimaud series is dedicated to the Austrian composer.
Hélène Grimaud opened with brio this series of concerts at the Salle Pleyel and the Cité de la musique. A worldwide renowned mozartian singer, the soprano Sandrine Piau joins her for a heartfelt rendition of the aria "Ch'io mi scordi di te," written for soprano, piano and orchestra. The second part of the programme features the famous and dark Symphony No. 40, performed here with no conductor, but guided by Radoslaw Szulc, solo violin of the Kammerorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks (Bavarian Radio Orchestra).
