Fatma Said at the Great Pyramid of Giza

In this dream project brought to glorious life, the sensational Egyptian soprano Fatma Said gives a truly unforgettable recital before some of the most iconic landmarks in the world: the Pyramids of Giza. Joined by opera specialists Les Frivolités Parisiennes under the baton of Franco-British conductor Sammy El Ghadab and special guests, Said pays homage to the many traditions that have shaped her incredible voice, traversing the ages in a program of popular songs and opera selections. Songs in Arabic by Dalida and Fairuz blend with French favorites like "La Vie en rose," German Lieder by Schubert and Strauss, Baroque arias by Handel and Purcell, coloratura tours de force like "Una voce poco fa" from Rossini's The Barber of Seville, and even more — all filmed with extraordinary sound and video quality in the middle of the desert, in front of an eternal symbol of the soprano's beloved homeland.
