Leonardo García-Alarcón conducts Cavalli, Cesti, Monteverdi and Stradella — With Carlo Vistoli

At the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival 2025, Leonardo García-Alarcón and Cappella Mediterranea present a concert dedicated to the golden age of seventeenth-century Italian opera, exploring the dramatic richness and expressive freedom of this repertoire. The program features several arias from operas by Francesco Cavalli, selections from Claudio Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea, and excerpts from Alessandro’s Stradella’s Il Trespolo tutore.
