Accidente: Un retrato de familia de Jo Strømgren y Stein-Roger Bull, música de Eugène Ysaÿe

In a studio, a family is preparing for a group photo. The atmosphere is far from ideal: the patriarch has just died suddenly, possibly in a car accident, shortly after marrying a much younger woman. Despite this tragedy, the young widow insists on having the portrait taken, which only serves to fuel the hostility in the air. As tensions rise and disagreements mount, threatening to derail the project, the photographer struggles to create a pleasant atmosphere in order to take a beautiful picture.

Set to music by Ysaÿe, performed with passion by Vilde Frang, Jo Strømgren and Stein-Roger Bull's ballet Accident: A Family Portrait explores the themes of loss, family conflict, and the quest for memory with fantasy and poetry. Reminiscent of chamber theater, this drama, as poignant as it is touching, is sure to leave a lasting impression!
