He returned to Carnegie Hall with the National Radio Orchestra of France and performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony and the Yomiuri Nippon Orchestra. He also performed in Korea and Singapore with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic and presented numerous recitals in Japan and U.S. cities.
Mr. Feltsman’s extensive discography, for Sony Classical, Music Heritage Society, and Camerata (Tokyo), includes six albums of keyboard works of J. S. Bach, recordings of Beethoven’s last five Piano Sonatas, solo piano works of Schubert, Chopin, Liszt, Brahms, and Messiaen, and various concertos.
Holder of the distinguished chair of professor of piano at the State University of New York, New Paltz, Mr. Feltsman also teaches at the Mannes College of Music. He is founder and artistic director of the International Festival-Institute Piano Summer at New Paltz, a monthlong training program for advanced piano students.
