Berlin Prize for Young Artists (#BPFYA) – Searching for classical musicians with a voice
In 2020, VAN Magazine and Bank Julius Baer launched a new competition; they are inviting classical instrumentalists to apply with a programme of their choice. The #BPFYA is not searching for musicians who can perform immaculate renditions of the standard repertoire. Instead, it is looking for cathartic, disturbing, hilarious, revolutionary, and unforgettable musical experiences.
As a Principal Sponsor of this fantastic concert hall, a new online format was created: the Elbphilharmonie Innerviews. In this series, emerging talents are invited to discover the hall for themselves and share what is on their minds. Due to the sheer size of the building and the intertwining of tradition and modernity, the connection between art and architecture provides artists with new insights.
