Founded in 2005 by his wife Eliette von Karajan, the Eliette & Herbert von Karajan Institute is dedicated to protecting the maestro's musical heritage and to keeping his legacy alive. The Institute is entrusted with the conservation and development of the extensive Karajan archives, the caliber of which is internationally recognized.
