Concerts at the Louvre Auditorium

The Louvre Auditorium is an exceptional concert hall, located under the iconic glass and metal pyramid of the Louvre Museum in Paris. Conceived to host recitals and chamber music concerts, the Louvre Auditorium schedules every year an inspired and exclusive program.

The Louvre Auditorium's programming is mostly made up chamber music works. Concerts are scheduled as parts of various series. Wednesday evenings are dedicated to chamber music or solo piano pieces played by great international artists. Thursday afternoons are reserved for discovering the new young talent of tomorrow and Friday evenings for the great classics and music commissioned by the Louvre from contemporary artists.

In 28 seasons of existence, the Louvre Auditorium acquired worldwide fame. Thus, it is at the Louvre that the Parisian audience heard for the first time such prestigious artists as Maxim Vengerov, Vadim Repin, Bo Skovhus, Hélène Grimaud, Yefim Bronfman, Joshua Bell, Olga Guriakova, Truls Mork, Marie-Elisabeth Hecker, Boris Berezovsky, Adam Laloum, Sharon Kam, Lang Lang, Christian Tetzlaff, Daniil Trifonov, the Artemis Quartet, the Modigliani Quartet, the Jerusalem Quartet...

Since 2009, the Louvre Auditorium has broadcast a selection of concerts on medici.tv. Following over 50 concerts broadcast live during the past few years, this 2016-2017 season celebrates the eighth anniversary of this successful partnership.
