The twelve piano finalists of the Queen Elisabeth of Belgium Competition in 1999 were filmed during their week of rehearsal in the isolated residence of the Chapelle Musicale.
In addition to a sonata and a concerto of their choice, the finalists of the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition had to perform an unreleased concerto, The Tears of Ludovico, a commission of the Competition to Finnish composer Uljas Voitto Pulkkis. In order to study it, they locked themselves for a week at the Chapelle Musicale.
A very popular TV-show (it was broadcast on national television from the 1980s to the 2000s), Strip-tease obtained an exceptional authorization to follow the candidates in their daily lives...
