National Councillor of Fribourg Jean-François Steiert has always been a musician. He is the portrait of a double life between Bern and Fribourg, from piano to clarinet.
More than just fun, making music is a real necessity for this amateur clarinettist. Born into a musical family, Jean-François Steiert had the chance to play with his wife and children, who all played an instrument, savouring the joy of playing together. “Music forces me to take time out and, when I play, my brain feels so much more free ,” he said after spending the day working under the Dome.
Corinne Porter had a surprise in store for him by inviting him to join the armaillis, armed with their instrument of choice. He also met with Catherine de Crissier, chorister at the Berlin Philharmonic.
