After making his name on the music scene in 2010 winning the third prize at the prestigious International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Daniil Trifonov became laureate of the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 2011, and won the first prize of the Arthur Rubinstein Piano Competition in Tel- Aviv the same year. Daniil Trifonov then became one of the most sought-after pianists of his generation. A regular guest of the best orchestras and concert halls, Daniil Trifonov received rave reviews from his peers and from the press: in 2011, Martha Argerich declared to the Financial Times: "He has everything and more."

Before his Rachmaninov concerto at the Salle des Combins with Yuri Temirkanov, Daniil Trifonov answers such questions as "What are the secrets to your success?," "How does it feel to see legends of music backstage at your concerts?," "How do you avoid 'creative blocks'?," "What is your motivation for what you do?"
