About

For this year's second concert at the Salle des Combins, Gabor Takács-Nagy conducts the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, of which he is the musical director. He is joined by his fellow-countryman András Schiff, who came to perform the Third Piano Concerto of another well-known Hungarian, Béla Bartók.

The pianist András Schiff will give his first recital at the Verbier Festival.

They will perform works by Haydn (Symphony No. 94 in G Major), Bartók (Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 3 in E Major, Sz. 119) and Beethoven (Symphony No. 6 in F Major, Op. 68, "Pastoral").
