Program notes

#mediciverbier10 – Recognized as an "exceptional young musician" by the Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung, Daniel Lozakovich is alongside one of the most prominent pianists of our time, Frank Dupree, to perform a programme featuring Bach, Mozart and Brahms at the Verbier Church.

Daniel Lozakovich and Frank Dupree are both former students of the Verbier Festival Academy, which has providing an invaluable boost to the careers of some of today’s most sought-after soloists. For his first recital in Verbier, the young Swedish violinist performs Bach’s Partita for Solo Violin No. 2, and with Frank Dupree, Mozart’s Sonata No. 18 and Brahms’ Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 3.

At the age of only 15, Swedish violinist Daniel Lozakovich is already being acclaimed for the maturity of his playing, as well as his precocious talent. He has performed as a soloist with orchestras throughout Europe and is establishing a formidable reputation in chamber repertoire.
