Veritable worldwide ambassador for the Verbier Festival, the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra adds to its reputation after each performance. Comprising former members of the Verbier Festival Orchestra who have gone on to renown in their own disciplines, the VFCO performs in the most prestigious concert halls in the world, accompanied by superstar soloists like Maxim Vengerov—who recorded the full set of Mozart Violin Concertos and embarked on a world tour with them—and Joshua Bell. Led by the intrepid Gábor Takács-Nagy since its founding, the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra tirelessly seeks to bring their mellifluous music to wider audiences; tune in and you’re guaranteed to count yourself among their fans!

Find the ensemble here in the company of the world's preeminent conductors, beginning with the Overture from Oberon—an opera by Carl Maria von Weber—with the marvelous Lahav Shani at the podium. Mozart's A-major Clarinet Concerto is up next, featuring stupendous Swedish clarinetist Martin Fröst doing double duty as soloist and conductor! After that, feast your ears on Beethoven's immortal Fifth Symphony conducted by Gábor Takács-Nagy, and a host of favorite works and personalities: Daniel Harding conducting Richard Strauss, Pinchas Zukerman conducting and playing Schubert, and early music specialist Reinhard Goebel masterfully leading the orchestra in Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 4. The VFCO's special evening concludes with Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 2, a tour de force performance by virtuoso Maxim Vengerov at London's Royal Albert Hall.
