This concert pays tribute to some of the 20th century's greatest composers: Messiaen, Dutilleux, Debussy, and Stravinsky. Under the direction of Tugan Sokhiev, the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse are joined by the cellist Gautier Capuçon.
In 2016, Gautier Capuçon and Tugan Sokhiev put together a program in honor of the 100th anniversary French composer Henri Dutilleux's birth. The two artists placed his Concerto for Cello and Orchestra Tout un Monde lointain in dialogue with masterpieces by three giants of the 20th Century: Messiaen's Les Offrandes oubliées, Debussy's La Mer and Stravinsky's The Firebird.
