Don't miss the grand finale of the 2021 Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, featuring Renaud Capuçon, Alexandre Kantorow, and Victor Julien-Laferrière in Tchaikovsky's Piano Trio subtitled In memory of a great artist. This complex work, composed between December 1881 and January 1882, was dedicated to the composer's good friend and mentor Nikolai Rubinstein (brother of composer Anton), who had succombed to pneumonia a few months earlier. Under the carved-wood roof of the Saanen Church, the three French stars amaze and delight with their pristine technique and musicality, carefully honoring the deep bond of friendship that inspired Tchaikovsky's masterpiece.
