The Canadian Music Competition celebrates sixty years of introducing young musicians to an international audience! Discover talented young musicians from all over the world in this program featuring young Canadian violinist Kerson Leong and the Orchestre Métropolitain under the baton of Nicolas Ellis in the competition's culminating gala concert.

2018-2019 Revelation Radio-Canada for classical music Nicolas Ellis leads the orchestra, and Kerson Leong, winner of the 2014 CMC’s Tremplin Prize, takes on the role of ambassador for the aspiring young virtuosos. Together they perform Barber’s Violin Concerto, composed in 1940 on commission from businessman Samuel Fels for his adoptive son, the violinist Iso Briselli.
