Program notes

An exotic guitar recital by Miloš Karadaglić, live on medici.tv!

Miloš Karadaglić is with no doubt a name which should not be forgotten: a young guitar prodigy, he entered the London Royal Academy of Music at the age of 16. His goal: let a large audience discover his instrument.

At the Verbier Church, he performs a recital dedicated to Mediterrannean and South-American musics: following the two first movements of Bach's Lute Suite No. 2, he plays the great brazilian composer, Heitor Villa-Lobos, then Argentinian (Danza brasiliera by Jorge Morel and Milonga by Jorge Cardoso), Brazilian (Batucada by Isaías Sávio) and Cuban melodies (Un dia de Noviembre by Leo Brouwer). The concert closes with the Italian melody Koyunbaba by Carlo Domineci.
