The pianist has crafted a program dedicated to preludes. He begins with Scriabin’s lyrical Preludes, op. 11, before continuing with the 24 Preludes of Chopin, one of his favorite composers. The composer presents a true musical encyclopedia with this score—the tempo indications are varied and there are clear influences from several musical genres: dances, nocturnes, romances, and even funeral marches.
