A duo of undisputed Argentinian legends lights up the Tsinandali Festival when the matchless Martha Argerich and marvelous Nelson Goerner take center stage. Their superb two-piano program begins with Debussy’s En blanc et noir, the first of his works from 1915, a year in which he battled with illness and depression. This somber masterpiece gives way to the carefree elation of Mozart’s Sonata for Two Pianos in D Major, the only work of its kind in the Salzburg genius’s oeuvre. Argerich and Goerner end the evening in style with an electrifying performance of Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances!
