Highlights of Lucas Debargue's recital at the Tsinandali Festival

You loved him at the 2022 Verbier Festival—now see Lucas Debargue again in a spectacular solo recital from the gorgeous Tsinandali Festival in Georgia, performing solo works by Chopin, Ravel, and Liszt!

Debargue interprets three works by the poet of the piano Chopin: Ballade No. 2 in F Major, alternately serene and stormy; the Prelude in C-sharp Minor, a dazzling miniature gem; and the Polonaise-Fantaisie in A-flat Major, grandiose and stirring. Next up is the post-impressionist poetry of Ravel’s evocative Gaspard de la nuit, which Debargue plays as well as any pianist ever has—and finally, a piece of monumental virtuosity: Liszt's Dante Sonata, a perennial challenge for any pianist and a perfect opportunity for the French superstar to demonstrate his jaw-dropping abilities.
